Adopt a family

We as a group are going to do our adopt a family again this Christmas season.  If you are able to contribute please let me know, and have the money in by the 15th of December so I have time to get it to the family before Christmas.  Thanks for being a part of blessing someone else!

Worship Night

We will be doing a pre-Christmas worship/prayer night Thursday December 4th instead of a vocal workout.  We will be doing a tabernacle prayer style evening.  Please come join us for an evening to focus on the Lord before the Christmas rush starts.  It will be 7:30 PM probably in the sanctuary.  Instead of a formal party let’s get together around His throne and worship Jesus, the reason we celebrate Christmas in the first place.

Worship Leader Meeting

We had a great prayer time in our last worship leaders meeting, and talked about incorporating the concept of the tabernacle into worship.  If you haven’t read the notes on the note page please do, and write your comments; I’d like to hear from you.  We listened to some new tunes and we will let you know in the next week which ones we will be doing.  We are not putting out CD’s anymore, so please download the songs on itunes or lookk on utube for them to listen to them and begin learning them.

Greg & Lisa are intoducing Hosanna by Hillsongs in LIVE this week, so please listen to that one and take time to learn it.  This will be the last new song until the 1st Sunday in January.  We have a couple Christmasy worship songs available to add to the mix just to add something new and different.

Arts conference

We had a great arts conference.  If you didn’t make it you missed some great ministry and wonderful teaching.  Put it on your calendar for next year and make time to attend.

Worship leader meeting 11-20-08

LIVE/SNL worship leaders meeting 7:15 PM in the SMC – NOTE LOCATION CHANGE!  Because the school is using the multi-language room we will be having our meeting in the SMC so we don’t have to work around the desks. Please read the notes I put on the blog from the last meeting w/Kent and be ready to talk about them.  Also please bring some new songs to listen to.

Vocal workout tonight 11-13-08 7 PM

It’s important to work out to stay strong physically, and it’s important to work out your voice, too, both in your individual rehearsal time and corporate.  We’ll be working on a couple new songs tonight, and would like the part singers to try and come if possible to learn parts so that we can save rehearsal time when you rehearse with your team.
